Tatlisu Herb Festival 2024: A Celebration of Wellness

On March 8th, 2024, the Health Center team embraced the charm of the Herb and Culture Festival in Tatlisu, a celebration deeply rooted in the community’s spirit and its connection to nature. The festival was eagerly anticipated by both locals and visitors with the a showcase of culture, history, and organic delights.

The festival unfolded outside the municipal building, drawing in a crowd eager to explore the myriad of stalls lined with homemade treats, artisan crafts, and a notable selection of locally produced goods.

As we wandered through the vibrant displays, the aroma of freshly roasted local chestnuts filled the air, beckoning festival-goers to enjoy this simple yet heartwarming delicacy. A standout exhibit from the previous year's art and culture workshop, "Paper Oven Cooking on the Sea," organized by Ipek Denizli Art Studio, showcased the seamless blend of tradition and creativity, using ancient techniques to create ceramic art that tells the story of the island's past.


The festival also served as a platform for revisiting the International Painting Workshop's legacy, promising a future museum home for the showcased paintings, further cementing Tatlisu's role as a custodian of cultural heritage.
